Leander Ruprecht was born in Düsseldorf in 1999. He received musical education throughout his childhood in piano and composition at the Clara-Schumann Musikschule Düsseldorf by Yoshimi Yamamoto, David Graham and Christian Banasik. Still during highschool he visited many seminars and exchangend thoughts with composers at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and started to take lessons in composition with Günter Steinke at the Folkwang University of the Arts in the frame of precollege studies. During this time he also participated in many composition courses where he encountered inspiring teachers and got the possibilty to hear his music played. In 2017, after he finished highschool, he started a bachelor in music with focus on contemporary composition at the Zurich University of Arts. Right now, he pursues his interestes in the fields of instrumental composition, art theory in general and classical piano playing, where he enjoys inspirational support by Isabel Mundry, Dieter Mersch and Tamriko Kordzaia amongst other.
