Konrad Lang was born in Berlin in 1943. After graduating from high school in 1963, he studied philosophy, German literature, musicology, mathematics and physics at the universities of Mainz, Hamburg, Bonn and Munich (LMU).
In 1970 he was awarded a Dr. phil (major in philosophy) at the Gutenberg University of Mainz, and in 1977 he received his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in mathematics at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

His musical oeuvre currently comprises 30 compositions, almost all of which were published by Edition Gamma, Bad Schwalbach.
