The conductor Juri Dadiani comes from Georgia. He graduated from the State Conservatory of his hometown, Tbilisi, in 1971 receiving a diploma with distinction and in 1974 with the concert exam, also with honours. This was followed by studies in orchestral conducting, opera and symphonic conducting. He passed his diploma exam with honours.
In 1990 he founded a chamber string orchestra in Tbilisi, with which he completed numerous successful performances. After moving to Germany, he worked in the 1993/94 season at the Essen Opera House and as chief conductor of the Schubertbund Essen having guest performances in Germany, France and Egypt. He leads other choirs as well and also works as an organist and piano accompanist.
Since 1994, Juri Dadiani has been a member of GEMA. He is the author of more than 200 works. Fifteen publishers have already published several compositions of his. Many of his works have been performed in various concerts.
On September 3, 2016, his composition Missa Sacratissimi Cordis Jesu was premiered in the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg with great success.
