Heinz-Dieter Willke, born in Düsseldorf, composes mainly for piano and children's piano (Toy Piano) as well as big band arrangements for the Cologne wind orchestra Dicke Luft.
For many years he serves as a teacher at the municipal music school in Ratingen.
