Eberhard Kranemann was born in Wismar, grew up in Dortmund, received a double bass education at the Dortmund Conservatory, studied graphic art with Prof. Rolf Sackenheim and painting with Prof. Rupprecht Geiger at the Düsseldorf Art Academy after graduating from high school.
In 1971, at the suggestion of Prof. Geiger, he was appointed a master student of the State Academy of Arts Düsseldorf, University of Fine Arts, by Prof. Dr. Eduard Trier.
In addition to his involvement with forms of the visual arts, Eberhard Kranemann devoted himself just as intensively to the training, development and personal presentation of experimental musical forms: Kraftwerk, NEU!, Bluepoint Underground.
Performance with Joseph Beuys, mixed media project FRITZ MÜLLER, sound installations.
Eberhard Kranemann is a multimedia artist.
Thus we find works from the traditional areas of painting, graphics and sculpture as well as room installations, photomontages, photo painting, video works, sound installations and performances.
