Damian T. Dziwis was born in Königshütte (Poland). The composer and engineer, who lives in Düsseldorf, creates a large part of his multimedia works by generative algorithms, artificial intelligence, live-coding and DIY electronics.
He began his artistic education in instrumental composition with David P. Graham, followed by electronic composition with Christian Banasik, and finalized it in the Master's program for electronic composition with Michael Beil in Cologne. His concerts and installations have been shown and performed at various festivals such as the CTM Festival in Berlin, Music Tech Fest Stockholm, inSonic Festival at ZKM Karlsruhe, Beethoven Fest Bonn, the ACHT BRÜCKEN Festival in Cologne, die digitale in Düsseldorf or THE WRONG - New Digital Art Biennale.
As an engineer he develops applications and hardware for signal processing and artistic expression and is currently working on his PhD in the field of virtual acoustics and holophony. his scientific work has been published at conferences such as DAGA - Jahrestagung für Akustik, ICMI - innovative computer-based musical interfaces and TEI - tangible, embedded, and embodied interaction.
