Barry L. Roshto was born in Alexandria, Louisiana USA.
After earning a BA in Church Music with Majors in Piano and Voice from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA and a BMus in Composition from the University of Montevallo, Alabama, he moved to Europe in 1982.
There he studied composition with Bulgarian composer Bojidar Dimov in Cologne, musicology and phonetics at the Rheinische Friedrichs Wilhelms University in Bonn, and earned a MMus (with Distinction) in Composing for New Media at London College of Music and Media (2002).
He lives and works in Bonn as composer, media/sound artist, sound designer, animator and teacher of piano and composition at the municipal conservatory.
He has extensive experience as instrumentalist and vocalist in a wide range of genres including traditional classic, contemporary pop, experi-mental chamber music and electro acoustic. Since 2008 he has been working together with Ursel Quint as the media/sound art duo SnowKrash.
