Alexander was born in Armenia in a German-Armenian family as the youngest of 3 children. At the age of 6 he began playing the piano and at 7 he received his first formal piano lessons. He has spent much of his time improvising and composing his first small pieces. At the age of 9 he took his first composition lessons in order to learn how to write down his own pieces. At the age of 12 he started having clarinet lessons. Since 2015 he has taken composition lessons from composer and pianist Suren Zakaryan, laureate of international competitions and professor at the Yerevan State Conservatory. Alexander has been awarded with several Armenian and international prizes.
